As our earliest users get closer to the decade mark, the use of History notes keep expanding. Our latest addition is the ability to give a Category to each and every note:

Categories come into play in three places: A column indicating the category and any attachments in the note review listing and a list of categories below the page button, as seen above and the addition of a drop down on top of the note area:

What categories give you is the ability to quickly find notes that belong to a certain grouping. This is accomplished either visually, looking down the category column in the review area or by process of elimination, by clicking on the category button, which displays only those notes that belong to the category.
Along with the ability to enter a category manually for each note, you can also predetermine the categories for those notes that are generated automatically, like when you send an e-mail:

The use of categories can greatly aid you in the review process for the activity of each case.
