It was easy when I knew all of the eCandidus™ users personally, but as more third parties are involved in the marketing and training of the various implementations, an interesting thing has happened.

I do not get involved in the creation of nifty letters and forms.  It was a bit of work but it also allowed me to distribute ideas and actual examples to other offices, but on the other hand more and more people are coming up with the ideas and want to share them with their buddies down the street that also got this nifty eCandidus™ system.

So we have introduced the ability to package any public object, anything that is generated in the main menu between Cases (or whatever your work product is named) and Tools (or Billing for those offices that do billing).  Items like Documents, Forms and Address Book entries can now be packaged in a .EC file by clicking on the new Save as Object button  when viewing the item.  Or to make it even simpler, drag the button to either an Outlook or GMail message!

This file can be sent as an e-mail attachment, or copied as you would any Windows file and easily brought into another eCandidus™ Desktop by simply dragging and dropping it the eCandidus™ Desktop.  It is an easy way to share that nifty letter that you just created...

Update:  We have extended this deature to two important areas:

System Settings - You can now save your system settings by using the Save as Object button in the Tools/Settings/System tool.

Dataset - Now when you create that special screen, you can share the work by using the Save as Object button in the Screen Define screen!
