Starting in the May 2010 version of the eCandidus™ Desktop there is neat way to both gain screen real estate and speed up access to your frequently used tools.  Simply right-click anywhere on the eCandidus™ Desktop and the Shortcuts appear!

This means that you do not have to have the Shortcut screen on your desktop to make use of its features.

Also you can easily add items to the Shortcuts by simply dragging the menu entry to the desktop from the main menu.  Similarly you can remove items from the Shortcuts by displaying the shortcuts using  right-click and then dragging the entry out of the menu.
