For our clients that are using the CA-Legal version of the
eCandidus™ Desktop for Law, the steps to upgrade are as
follows:
Preparation
Backups
- Backup your MS SQL database.
Update the Server
Update one Station
- Download
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and install it.
- Uninstall eCandidus™ Desktop.
- Install the new eCandidus™ Desktop.
- Launch eCandidus™ Desktop.
- Log in as System Administrator.
- Update the System Tables by running
Settings:System
and clicking on theeCandidus™ icon.
- Update the Address Book search so you can search by Social Security number by running
Synchronize:Objects and selecting the Cases table.
- Update the Case Injury section by running Import:From CA-Legal.
Update the Stations
Getting up-to-date with EAMS
- Log in as System Administrator.
- Use the Address Book:Share Desk:Get Addresses to get:
WCAB
EAMS Claim Offices
EAMS Representative Offices
- Use the Forms:Share Desk:Get Forms to get the Workers Compensation EAMS forms.
