The eCandidus™ Desktop can make use of Microsoft Windows XP Fax support to integrate outbound and inbound fax support.

Activating Windows XP Fax support

Microsoft Windows XP has built-in support for faxes, you can read it in "How to enable and configure the Fax service in Windows XP" article.  Remember to enable both the send and receive options.

 

Outbound - Sending Faxes

Once you have enabled the send option, you can easily fax by using the Print Direct button in all of the word processing, and selecting the FAX device.

 

Inbound - Receiving Faxes

When you are enabling the receive option, select the "Store a copy in a folder" option and set the folder to be the directory, or sub-directory, used the the eCandidus™ Document Feeder.  This makes any received fax a document in the Document Manager system.   For details see Mail Processing.
