Starting with version 2011.01.16, an auto-update feature has been added to eCandidus™ Desktop.
You do not need to check for newer versions anymore.
Updating your Stations When you start eCandidus™ Desktop, the system will performa check to see if a newer version is available in our website. If a newer version is available, the system will display a screen and allow you to update the station:
Simply select an option and let the system update itself. Note that you will be asked to close the eCandidus™ Desktop to properly update.
Configuring the update options You can click on the Configure button to change the behavior of the auto-update process. The default is to check every seven days for updates.
Manually checking for updates If you have turned off the auto-update features, you can still check for newer versions by selecting Tools from the main menu, then select eCandidus followed by Check for Updates. The tool will tell you if your station is up-to-date and if it is not, run through the auto-update feature to install.
Updating System Tables Sometimes you will need to update the eCandidus™ Desktop in your office. System configurations, which are stored as part of the database. They can be updated using the Settings:System tool. This is done by your System Administrator.
What has changed The eCandidus™ Desktop is a constantly evolving system. Most of our clients know us and understand ho quickly we convert their needs into a new feature of the system, and that when we do we directly tell them about it. But you can also keep track of our activity by looking at our changes tracking page. |
