Syntax: [#<expression>]

The expression can be the name of an extension field, or it can be a computed value.

Examples
[\Amt@=val1]	Sets the extension field val1 to the value of the fieldAmt
[#val1]	Return the value for extension field val1
[#val1*2]	Returns the value of extension field val1 multiplied by 2

 

Formatting options

Note that you can use the formatting options defined for the fields merge codes, for example [#val1*2@fc] would do the computation and then format it like currency.
