These are the steps to update the eCandidus™ Desktop on a station.

 

Download

The latest versions are always found here. Click on the Desktop and save the file to your computer.

 

Uninstall the current version

For those updating from versions prior to 2010.05.06, click on the Start button on the lower left corner of your screen. All others can skip all of the uninstall steps.

Select Control Panel

In the Control Panel, select Add or Remove Programs. Note your screen may look different than the one shown here:

In the Add or Remove Programs screen, click on the eCandidus Desktop and then on the Remove button.

You will be asked to confirm the removal of the application.

Once you confirm, the application will be removed.

Uninstall the Extensions

 

Install the new version

Double click on the install package extracted above. The Welcome screen displays:

and after the preparation completes, you are asked to continue:

Click on the Next button. The License screen is displayed:

Click on the I Accept... button, then on the Next button. Shortcut Configuration screen appears:

Select which shortcuts you woud like to have installed, the default is shown.

Next the Setup Type screen is shown:

The default settings are for a eCandidus™ Desktop for Law install. Choose Law or if your site has a different type of installation select Custom and select the extensions for your site.

The next screen is a confirmation for the setup:

Click on Install to complete the installation.
